QuickShift Early Access Notice
QuickShift is currently in an active development and testing phase. Features, match systems and functionality may change over time as the platform evolves and improves.
Match availability depends entirely on information entered by other learners. Compatible matches are not guaranteed and some users may receive few or no matches depending on demand, dates, locations and other user preferences.
QuickShift does not manage, modify or guarantee DVSA practical test bookings, cancellations or exchanges. Any booking changes must be completed directly through official DVSA processes.
Users are responsible for independently verifying any information before arranging a potential test exchange. Never share your driving licence number, passwords, payment information, login details, date of birth or other sensitive personal information with other users. DVSA test reference numbers should only be exchanged through QuickShift once both learners have agreed to proceed.
As this is an early access platform, occasional bugs, delays, missing matches or inaccurate match results may occur while the system continues to be refined and expanded.

QuickShift FAQ
What is QuickShift?
QuickShift is a learner-to-learner matching platform designed to help learners find compatible practical driving test swap opportunities.
QuickShift does not buy, sell, reserve, or guarantee driving tests. It simply helps connect learners who may have suitable swap opportunities based on their existing test appointments and preferences.
How does QuickShift work?
- Create a request using your existing driving test details and DVSA test reference number.
- QuickShift searches for compatible opportunities.
- Potential matches are scored based on test centre, date, time, preferences, flexibility and practicality.
- Both learners independently decide whether they wish to proceed.
- If both learners accept, secure in-platform messaging becomes available.
- DVSA test reference numbers are only revealed if both learners actively agree to exchange them.
- The learner contacts the DVSA and provides the other learner’s DVSA test reference number to begin the swap process.
Can anyone message me?
No. Users cannot browse and contact random learners. Messaging only becomes available after a compatible match is found and both learners accept it.
Do I need to share my DVSA test reference number?
Your DVSA test reference number remains hidden from other learners and is only revealed if both learners separately agree to exchange reference numbers.
Do I need to share my driving licence number?
No. QuickShift never requires your driving licence number and you should never share it with another learner.
Can parents have peace of mind?
Yes. Personal details are not publicly displayed, users cannot randomly contact learners, and driving licence numbers are never shared through QuickShift.
What happens if I decline a match?
If you decline a match request, the same learner cannot repeatedly submit the same request.
Why is there a countdown timer?
The timer gives learners time to review the opportunity, speak with their instructor and decide without pressure. If no action is taken, the opportunity expires.
Can I pause matchmaking?
Yes. Your request remains saved, but new matches are not generated until you resume matching.
Can QuickShift change my test booking?
